Early Development and Ethnic Groups

Before the arrival of Han immigrants in the middle of the eighteenth century, Haishan area was the territory of the plains aboriginal Ketagalan people and the living area of the Mncyaq group of the aboriginal Atayal people. This unit presents early aboriginal peoples, Han settler groups,Hakka community and important irrigation construction of the region.
